In Islamic teachings, the devil, referred to as "Shaytan" or "Iblis", attempts to mislead humans primarily by whispering temptations and doubts into their hearts. This is metaphorical and does not mean a physical or audible whisper. Instead, it's an internal inclination or thought that pushes an individual towards wrongdoing or away from righteousness. The Quran mentions these whispers as coming from "the Shayatin (devils) among mankind and jinn." Muslims believe that by seeking refuge in Allah and being mindful of their actions, they can resist these misleading temptations.

Those that give-in to these temptations go to hell and those that manage to resist them are promised heaven.

Hi,

Devil, Satan and iblis, are the same names. Mostly used for Devil.

The devil speaks to us but we can not hear and can not see. We just realize that Satan or devil is a spiritual being.

He may be able to "whisper" spiritually to us. He may be able to provoke, in some manner a thought or an idea. But, he does not have control over our minds or our bodies.

Every time we have two ideas about anything like bad or good.  In most cases, we follow bad ideas or thinking. He tempts us and tries to deceive us.

He whispers to us that our sins aren’t so bad. And most often we think both things like good and bad but we follow bad things.  He only invites us.

Here are some of the Quranic verses that make the boundaries of the portrait more defined:

Allah says in Quran chapter# 4, verse #114

"From the evils of sneaky whisperers.[Quran 114:4]

Allah says in Quran chapter# 16 and verse# 99-100

"He has no power over those who believe and trust in their Lord. His power is limited to those who choose him as their master, those who choose him as their god".
